Coming Home from the Hospital

Thank goodness they finally let Mommy and Brooklyn go! I had had enough of the hospital! Hmmm...it's strange to have someone else to look at in the backseat!!!
Back at home--I don't remember what they told me, but they should have told me how much my life was about to change!
They should have told Maverick too!
Brooklyn in a rare eyes-open momentMommy and Daddy look tired already, and they just got home!
B took to her swing right away...
...but she didn't have much time to use it. Everyone wanted a turn to hold her. Spoiled already!!

We introduced Brooklyn to her ladybug theme. She seems content with it.
Nana brought Mommy a bunch of her old clothes, including these booties. Can you believe Mommy's feet were ever that little?

Great Paw Paw and Nanny arrive from Ft. Worth to meet Brooklyn and see how much I've grown.

Daddy had everything figured out by the time we left the hospital. He's a baby pro!

The most fun I had during the whole experience was with the curtain that blocked the door to the room. It's the perfect peek-a-boo place!

The Pre-Story

Mommy started feeling contractions on a Friday morning around 8:00 AM as we were sitting on the couch together watching our morning dose of "Thomas the Tank Engine," wrapped up in my Thomas blanket, with my stuffed Thomas in our laps. I was supposed to have a playdate at JumpZone with my buddy Jax, but we had to cancel since Mommy was in pain! Daddy came home from work when the contractions were 10 minutes apart. Then they dropped me off at Jax's house and headed off to Conway, AR where Brooklyn was born. I was glad we still got to play!
The arrived at the hospital. It took 25 minutes to get there. Daddy was timing the contractions...
...and Mommy was writing them down.
Here's the room they stayed in for the whole experience. It felt like a hotel room.

Even Daddy had a bed. Quite the accomodations!

Nana and Grandpa D drove to Maumelle, picked me up at Jax's house, and we were off for the hospital. Mommy called to check on our status.

We arrived at the hospital and briefly said "hi" to Mommy and Daddy.

And then we waited in the waiting room...

...and waited...

...and waited! I waited patiently in my "Big Brother" t-shirt.

All the nurses knew me as the kid who was fascinated by the color tiles on the floor!

Some Final Scenes Before My Sister's Arrival

Here's the last just-the-three of us family photo.
Mommy's belly button was pretty interesting. I didn't really understand what was making it stick out though.

First Professional Haircut

My hairstyle finally surpassed my daddy's skills...time for a professional cut!
I was the perfect customer...due to my first lollipop. I actually had two. I dropped the first one in my hair trimmings!! Yuck!
They told me there was a kiddo my age there earlier in the day who was TERRIBLE!! They were very pleased with me!
