Sturgeon Spawning 2
There were DNR and university researchers there catching, measuring, tagging and releasing them. The statue is an exact replica of the largest one ever caught and tagged in the Wolf River.
Sturgeon Spawning
Not sure how excited we all were this morning when Dad took us on a road trip to see the sturgeon spawning, but we had to admit it was pretty amazing! There were tons of them that swam 80ish miles to the Shawano Dam to lay their eggs. They looked like sharks. They come upstream and lay 400,000 to 1,000,000 eggs depending on their size. Many of the eggs end up as food for crawfish and other fish, and even the sturgeon eat them. 1 in 1,000 actually become a fish. Sturgeon were around when the dinosaurs lived!

Easter Afternoon
A warm, but windy day. Perfect for flying a kite and a Rubik's Cube lesson. Jeff is determined to learn...we'll see if he's got what it takes! And we dyed eggs on Easter...it's never too late, right???

Swim Team Banquet
Tyler and the ladies in his practice group...everyone says he'll appreciate it one day...but he certainly doesn't now! But they are very nice and include him...they even asked him to sit at their table at the banquet! Surprise of the night...B got an award too because they were celebrating last summer's season too!
