The Party! (the weekend before my birthday)

The day started with the perfect outfit. I'm wearing the same jacket Daddy wore on his first birthday! It was a little tight through the shoulders. Even though I'm little, I'm way more buff than my daddy was!

Here's the banner to set the theme--Puppies! Just like my room! Maybe next year I'll be really into something and decide on my own theme!! I really like Maverick, so puppies were good for this year.

I woke up to find my new swingset in the family room. It was just like Christmas morning! My favorite part was the straps on the swing!Ok, Mav and I are ready...where are all the presents?! Here I go!
I didn't need much help!!!

Nana helping me get the caterpillar out of the box. I wanted to play with every present I opened instead of going on to the next present!Maverick begging for attention during all the excitement!
Daddy playing in my new tunnelMe playing in my new tunnel...it has windows!Hanging out with Paw Paw
Hanging out with Nanny
I love my new O-Ring! Poppy VG picked it out just for me!
Here are all the partiers!
It was a beautiful day to grill out...sorry Poppy and Grandma in Ohio!! We were thinking about you in 21 inches of snow!!We lit the birthday candle from Poppy & "Mom", my Florida grandparents. Daddy told me how it works--I burn one year off every year for 21 years, and then I'm left with a stump. See Daddy's stump next to my candle? Mommy liked this idea because I have to spend my 21st birthday with my parents so I can burn the last number. She says that'll keep me out of trouble, whatever that means!!

The Cake!

I started by putting all 5 fingers in and feeling things out. Then I clawed into it.
I couldn't get enough into my mouth with my hand, so I dove straight in!
Here's the peanut gallery recording the event!
This birthday thing should happen more than once a year! I loved having my own cake!
Anyone want to hold hands?
Intensely studying the colors on my hand
Mommy and Daddy didn't know where to start cleaning me, so I took care of it.
What a day this was!

Snow in Texas!!!!!!!

I didn't think I'd get to see snow in my first year of life, but it came with a week to go!! Mommy had to wheel me out in it. I didn't have a snowsuit or anything to keep my feet from getting cold and wet!
Here's the first time I touched snow. Guess what I did with it?
Yep, you guessed it!
Yummmm!

Visit with Paw Paw & Nanny in Ft. Worth

We went to the park in their neighborhood!

We went to visit Mr. Lawson, one of Grandpa D's pharmacy buddies.
I got to take a bath in the big bathtub!I did a pretty good job, but I wanted to stand up most of the time!

Valentine's Day

Playing with my present from Grandma

We were actually in Texarkana a few days before Valentine's Day. Mommy thought my face looked funny in this picture.

Waving at the camera

Guess what I loved most about my Valentine's Day gift?!!!

Nana and Grandpa D gave me baby toy cars for Valentine's Day. First, I had to taste them. Then I had to study them...I might turn out to be an engineer like my daddy!
I know how to give big, wet, tongue kisses now!!I love going upside down!
Could you guys take any more pictures of me? Puh-lease!
We took a trip to the park.I had to study the swings too.
It turned cold, so I had to put on my coat.
Mommy just liked this picture because I look so little!
Nana's turn to push me!

After Texarkana, we went to Maumelle, AR (where we're moving next month), and I learned to walk with my friend Grady's push race car. I'm walking all over the place now (but only while holding onto something)!
